Event Recap: For the Love of You | Afrobeats Carib Edition Pt2

With an entrepreneurial spirit rich in African culture and music, their events endorse collective fun for all who attend.

Not only are they equipped with stellar professional staff members; At a Ghana Elite event clientele is guaranteed to have all their needs met while providing attendees with the ability to connect and network with like-minded individuals.

We had the opportunity to work with this awesome entertainment company at their last event as we were asked to be vendors For the Love of You | Afrobeats Carib edition Pt2 event on April 9th at the Meridian 23 Lounge in New York City.

We had a fantastic time and everyone enjoyed and loved our cupcakes.

So let's dig in, and talk about what was on the menu.

​We offered both mini and standard cupcakes filled to perfection with awesome goodness.

Our Cupcake Menu

We offered a variety of cupcakes that were a hit among attendees:

• Chocolate Cupcakes filled with chocolate mousse, frosted with black and white buttercream and drizzled with dark chocolate.
• Strawberry Cupcakes filled with strawberry cheesecake mousse frosted with pink, vanilla and chocolate swirl buttercream and drizzled with dark chocolate.
• Vanilla Cupcakes filled vanilla creme or chocolate mousse frosted with cream cheese and drizzled with caramel sauce.
• Red Velvet Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. We were honored to be a part of this sophisticated event as we are looking forward to the next Ghana Elite experience.

Where They Are Now

Since the event, Ghana Elite Entertainment has rebranded and now redirects to AfroCaribNetwk.com, a platform highlighting Afro-Caribbean culture and events. The original brand still has a presence online, especially on social media.

The host at the time, Liz (then known as “liz the intnldiva”), has also rebranded. She now goes by @iamanikeade_, professionally known as Anike Ade, a Texas-based realtor, podcast host, and Master of Ceremonies for weddings, church events, and more. You can listen to her podcast Knowing God, Anike Ade on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Final Thoughts

Events like For the Love of You gave us the chance to connect with incredible people, share our desserts, and be part of something special. At the time, Legacy Cakery was focused on custom cupcakes and styled dessert tables for live events like this one.

We no longer participate in social events or pop-up parties, but we’re proud of how those early experiences shaped our story. Today, we focus on shipping cake jars across the country, fresh, fun, and packed with care.

Since then, Ghana Elite Entertainment has also evolved. Their website now redirects to AfroCaribNetwk.com, highlighting a broader cultural focus. And Liz, who interned with us at the time, has rebranded as Anike Ade, a Texas-based realtor, podcast host, and event MC known as Anike Ade The Emcee.
