Last week, we had the opportunity to attend a networking meeting in the old Watch Tower building in DUMBO Height Brooklyn, NY. Now owned by Wework, this building has become a multilevel community building that provides event & office space for entrepreneurs. Dedicated to helping small businesses flourish in Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn United Music and Art program hosted their monthly networking seminar, which showcases individuals who are doing extraordinary things in the Brooklyn area. The event is designed to bring business professionals and entrepreneurs together for the purpose of networking with a vast majority in order to grow your business and exchange referrals. The keynote speaker of the night was Dr. Jean Alerte, originally from Port au Prince, Haiti. Dr. Alerte is a published author that provides key insight in the areas of marketing, management and sales. Dedicated to educating our youth on entrepreneurship, Dr. Jean Alerteis the Executive Director of Unity of the Community Foundation through his efforts he has provided mentorship and scholarships to several college-bound high school students. One of his local businesses includes Brooklyn Swirl, which provides frozen yogurt to Brooklynites year round. Chocolate Cupcakes with chocolate mousse frosted with black and white frosting and drizzled with dark chocolate.

Red Velvet Cupcake with cream cheese
Last and certainly not least, vanilla cupcakes with vanilla crème frostedwith cream cheese frosting drizzled with caramel sauce.
