Social Event Spring Blissed 2016

Expression starts with an idea and from that idea fashion is born. Creating memorable pieces to expand and stimulate the body, mind, and soul. Eunika Simmons with her two sons Nigel and Carlos are the visionaries behind Young Gods Fashion Brand. Established as a way for her sons to express their talent and identify their entrepreneurial roots through clothing. Young Gods is a high-end eco-friendly brand that caters to the fashion-conscious youths who enjoys wearing trendy clothes. Young Gods fashion invokes the nature of youth and infuses it with cultural heritage and tranquility.

This past weekend we had the opportunity to be sponsors at Eunika's annual spring fashion show, Spring Blissed 2016. Spring Blissed is a Fashion Music Event created to provide young inspiring artists and entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase their talents to an audience of industry executives, family members, and friends. The hard work and dedication of each designer was present and on display with each young model who ripped the runway. Through this platform, children are allowed to express and discover their powers as they tap into their genius and overall dopeness.

HoopYogini™ instructor, Venetria Benitez

The event sprang into motion with a mini workshop by HoopYogini™ instructor, Venetria Benitez as she conducted an interactive floor presentations showing guest and participants the scared art of hatha yoga which incorporates hula hoops to elevate the mind, body, and soul. Using mindfulness meditation and conventional twists and bends participants had a blast experiencing the benefits of this core strengthening practice.

The MC and Teen Host for the evening was Nigel Simmons the owner of Young Gods. This was Nigel’s first time hosting such an event. KSJAMM Dance Troupe

KSJAMM Dance Troupe performed an intrinsic dance routine infused with rhythms and beats. Their performance was followed by the 1st designer of the evening, Kenwan Designs. Founded by Olatunde K. Onakoya, Kenwan Design is a bright and vibrant wearable fashion line that applies modern chicness with African print. Ms. Onakoyastrives on bringing diversity to her high-end couture clothing line. With over 30 years of experience, she works vigorously to improve and evolve her brand.

The audience was then graced by the harmonious sounds of Ms. LaNiyah Gladden, who sang an original piece. She owned the room as she captivated the audience through her vibrant saucy sounds. 

Launching her clothing line at the tender age of 8, Ms. Nyjha Lawrenceis a powerhouse. Not only is she a designer she is a model and aspiring actor from the Philadelphia area. Saphari Designs is a Kool Kidz Collection that incorporates all of Nyjha’s favorite colors and patterns. Her mission is to inspire and motivate other children to think big and dream deep, while living life to the fullest but most of all her message is for children to remember they are beautiful no matter what shape, size and/or color they are.

Last but certainly not least, Young Gods closed the show. Created in 2014 the brand is designed with the purpose to inspire and reach the youth as a way of showing them how to maximize their full potential and gifts. Created using natural products, Young Gods launched its first collection this year during the eighth season of the Atlantic City Fashion Week. Daring, creative, edgy, bold and limitless are just a few words that describes Eunika and her boys. It has been our pleasure to be apart of this spectacular event.

As a female entrepreneur, Myrlande Georges has a passionate voice in the fashion world. Her line seeks to inspire while allowing for the exploration of creativity and healing through jewelry making. As a brand “Metamorphix” encourages women of all ages to be confident in their self-expression and beauty. Captivated by beauty, Myrlande often experiments with unconventional materials and rare metals in order to create simply dynamic pieces.

Two young entrepreneurs were featured as they raise funds to support their dreams. First Child-preneurs Jada. Is raising fund to continue her pursuit towards Fashionable bliss as she allocates funds to further her modeling and acting career. A future boss chick in the making. All proceeds from her table the Dazzling Candy Shoppe & Boutique are going towards her trip to Florida as she is a finalist for an upcoming modeling showcase. Jayden was the last Child-preneurs to be featured. As he worked his table with his mom selling delicious lemonade and cookies, as vendors he is hoping to save up money for his college fund in hopes of becoming creating programs and software for elite industry video games.

As a constellation prize, one lucky child is being given 5 free sponsored Dance Classes for attending Spring Blissed 2016 from H+. The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory is a company for dancers by dancers aimed at cultivating an environment of sustainability and longevity within their craft. Founded by Artistic Director Safi A. Thomas. H+ provides biomedical research facility, and a dance center for injury prevention and treatment, amongst many other initiatives, programs, and workshops.

We can’t end this blog without discussing the delicious treats we baked. We dedicated our service to bake special treats for our rising stars in attendance.
We made mini cupcakes decorated in vibrant colors that were not only appealing to the eye but scrumptious in taste.
For our chocolate lovers, we made chocolate covered pretzels rods that were fun and decorated with lots of chocolate and gold candy.
We couldn’t come to an event and not have something special for the adults. We made our talked-about Hennessy Cupcakes and Henny Mousse cups. Paired with chocolate or vanilla cupcake this was a surefire hit!!

We love what we do and we are happy to share our services and Cupcakes with the world.
